Janelle Bombara is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist who strives to empower and support you on your unique path towards optimal health. Specializing in interactive and immersive nutrition and culinary education for children, families, and adults with chronic disease she believes that building confidence in the kitchen and grocery store is an important tool for healthy and sustainable lifestyle.
Janelle’s enthusiasm is contagious as she helps you transform your confidence in the kitchen. She meets you where you are at and collaborates with our staff to create a complete and inspiring functional nutrition experience.
While starting out in community development for her undergraduate studies, she became a passionate advocate for food security through urban agriculture and elementary school garden programs. This inspired her to earn a Master of Science Nutrition degree at Bastyr University, the leading University for integrative and holistic approach to wellness. An avid home chef with years of experience in the foodservice industry, Janelle has worked as a personal chef supporting autoimmune protocol, elimination diets, personalized meal planning, and recipe development.
Completing her dietetic internship at CUNY Hunter College School of Urban Public Health in Manhattan, she provided nutrition consulting and menu development for Head Start programming, nutrition group counseling for HIV/AIDS, and diabetes education across New York City.
Janelle is excited to offer her wealth of knowledge and expertise with Simplicity Nutrition and looks forward to meeting you in the kitchen! She is available for support services such as personalized meal planning, in-home therapeutic cooking classes, pantry overhauls, grocery store tours, educational workshops, and facilitation of support groups.
