Shannon helps you reach your health and nutrition goals with nearly 20 years of experience helping people eat, think, and feel better. She has been a practicing Dietitian and Nutritionist since 2003 and has helped hundreds of clients to achieve healthier minds and bodies with nutrition. Shannon helps you achieve your health and nutrition goals while also helping you build a better relationship with food and your body. Shannon specializes in behavioral nutrition for eating and body image disorders, intuitive eating, food allergy and food sensitivities, pre and post natal nutrition, pediatric nutrition, and aging-well diets.

Shannon understands that the science of nutrition and eating well is surprisingly simple but applying it can be a real challenge—especially considering our complicated food landscapes, chaotic lifestyles, and the media influences we deal with every day. As your Nutritionist she’ll graciously guide you on your journey to better health. While it may not always be easy, she knows you are worth it and will be with you every step of the way!

“First, I’ll get to know you-your likes, dislikes, your health history, and nutrition goals. I’ll ask lots of questions and will probably give you some homework to do. Next, I’ll create a personalized plan that will help you reach your goals. Our plan will evolve as we continue to work together based on your labs, shifts in your life, relationship with food and your goals. I’ll assist, challenge, and cheer you on in your journey to better health. It might not always be easy but I’ll be with you every step of the way!”

Shannon holds a Master’s degree in Nutrition and Food Science from the University of Hawaii. From Hawaii she moved briefly to New York before getting married and moving to Minneapolis for a few years. Mountains and ocean called them and they have called home ever since, now with three boys and a huuuge cat.

Shannon is also a certified Barre3 instructor and enjoys running, hiking and laying in the sun.

Shannon is one of the most phenomenal, compassionate clinicians I have ever worked with. I recently started seeing her for my anorexia & I have been dumbfounded by her kindness, extensive knowledge & encouraging spirit. Living with an ED is lonely & depressing. After such a long period of suffering, I feel deep & lasting gratitude that I found a clinician who gives me hope that there is light at the end of this tunnel. Cannot recommend her enough & am so grateful that there are people like her shining in this world.

“I have worked with Shannon for over a decade collaborating care for clients with eating disorders. Not only is she an expert in her field, she also has a gentle, compassionate, and caring approach that puts her clients at ease.”

“My daughter has been meeting with Shannon since she started struggling with an eating disorder. Though I don’t attend the appointments, Shannon shares general information with me, including the goals they set together each week. She draws upon a solid education and perhaps more importantly, personal experience as she guides my daughter through her impulsive emotions, behaviors and challenges. As a result of all of this work, my daughter generally has a much healthier relationship with food. Shannon’s work is genuine, well informed and compassionate.”

“Shannon was so helpful as my Dietitian while I was in recovery from an eating disorder. She’s an expert who brings empathy and compassion to her work. She challenged me and helped me build a healthier relationship with food. I appreciated the way she listened, truly sought my best, and cared for me as a person.”
